January 16, 1975 - September 6, 2014

Dr. Darren Devon Sewell, MD, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Champion, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was born January 16, 1975 in Warren, OH, son of Rickye and Barbara Sewell.

He was a 1993 graduate of Champion High School, and attended University of Akron for his undergraduate degree and then went on to NEOUCOM to receive his doctorate. Darren served a three year residency at ORMC Orlando Emergency Medical Center. He was then employed as Assistant Medical Director, Medical Director and Chief Medical Director for Insurance Companies. 

Loving memories of Darren will be cherished by his parents, Barbara and Rickye Sewell, grandmother, Beverly Raines, brothers, David Sewell and Douglas Sewell, DMD. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Horace Sewell, paternal grandmother, Maxine Sewell, and maternal grandfather, Warren Raines.
