May 30, 2017 - Today, the Department of Justice lifted the seal on the False Claims Act complaint filed by Dr. Darren Sewell, MD against former employers Freedom Health, Optimum Healthcare, America's First Choice Holdings, and Kiran Patel, Siddhartha "Sidd" Pagidipati, Devaiah Pagidipati, Rupesh Shah, and Mital Panara.
The complaint led to a multi-year undercover FBI investigation and evidence that resulted in the largest recovery for Medicare Risk Adjustment fraud in Medicare Advantage history.
